Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.
Pattern Building
Games where you repeat an action (or part of an action) until you decide to stop due to increased (or not) risk of losing points or your turn.
Press your Luck
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

This is an insanely beautiful game, and I love the multi-use cards. That being said, I'm not too fond of the push-your-luck scoring of the diplomas, nor of the way the cards are acquired. In the end, it's so rarely worth getting cards quickly compared to getting 3. One of the worst things about this game, I feel, is how turn order works: if you're last, to become first, others have to let you do so, or you have to take a chance and for it to pay off. Given how incredibly important turn order is, if you're stuck in last place, it's going to be a loooooong game.

Békés festegetős játék, gyönyörű grafikai megoldásokkal és egészen ötletes játékmenettel. Szeretjük, főleg nyaralás alatt, mert kompakt méretű, de nagy az újrajátszhatóság.

Played once. It's a beautiful game but something doesn't make me to like it much. Have to understand what.
