Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.
Pattern Building
Games where you repeat an action (or part of an action) until you decide to stop due to increased (or not) risk of losing points or your turn.
Press your Luck
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

    Une extension délicieusement illustrée mais dispensable, car elle Extension dispensable qui rajoute 3 familles (et leurs diplômes associés) et des yokaï, personnages ambivalents qui vous feront gagner un diplôme si vous en possédez 3 en dernier, mais qui vous feront aussi perdre des PV si vous ne vous en êtes pas débarrassés à la fin. Certes ils rajoutent une touche d'interaction fourbe, mais me semblent un peu gadgets, à l'image des Giants, extension de Kingdomino que je trouve également assez inutile. Donc oui, pour la déco, mais le jeu de base se suffit à lui même.

  2. Expansion for Kanagawa: adds 3 new card types (and accompanying diplomas), shuffle 4 card types each game. New cards include Yokai (ghost/spirit, in a cremation jar?) which are powerful but are worth negative points at the end of the game. Probably not essential at this point since Kanagawa is hovering over our culling pile.

    Aki szereti az alapjátékot, ez must have darab mellé. Tök jól feldobja az amúgy is klassz alapot, ebben új elemek vannak, mint pl. a yokai figurák, új elérhető oklevelek és festmény témák, nagyon megéri ár/érték arányban

Kanagawa: Yokai includes cards and scoring elements for three new elements — kites, parasols, and paper lanterns — and to use them, you replace any two elements in the Kanagawa base game with two new elements.

Some of the cards in this expansion include a yokaï symbol that is visible whether you place the card in your painting or in your studio. When you place such a card, you take a yokaï marker from the reserve or from another player, and if you collect all three such markers, you receive a reward. You hope that someone else will claim them later, though, because players with yokaï markers at the end of the game lose points.
