Played 1 scenario and liked it alot. Sure a little biased maybe since Aliens is one of my favourite movies of all time. But still, seems like a solid "dungeon crawler" esc game!

Looks very solid. Have yet to play more missions and with Alien Queen, but having an option to mix a bit of versus into a fully co-op game is great. The expanded missisons are longer and there are more side-missions and longer main-campaign that makes the game even more accurate as if you were in the movie! Looks very solid, I'll update my score if the next plays make me less thrilled.

Hmm call me cynical but this expansion (and ultimate badass) feels like it should have been part of the game all along and not parceled out for a few coins more Its clear this was not designed by anyone who plays modern games as it feels very dated. Its is incredibly simple. Alien AI is very linear and LoS rules even simpler still, almost to the point of redundancy. It is strange there is no acid splash damage as even I know the xenomorphs are supposed to have acid for blood, but killing them (which is far to easy btw) at distance or close range is exactly the same. You can only take reactive shots when the aliens step right next to you, removing virtually all clever positioning and tactical gameplay. The endurance deck is a nice idea, but ultimately is simply a way to slow down gameplay by forcing players to take the 'rest' action. Its fiddly and adds nothing. I quite like the aim dial mechanic as the more you fire in a turn the less time you spend aiming thus the 'difficulty' of the shot is increased and the miniatures are really nice - hubby assembled them well- but why oh why make minatures bigger than the square you are going to have them stand in- specifically the alien tails which jut out from behind the mini and continually get tangled together, especially as the aliens tend to clump together thanks to the simple AI. Sold with base game and ultimate badass in 2022
