Aliens: Ultimate Badasses provides new options for fighting the xenomorph menace, adding even more badass characters to the Aliens: Another Glorious Day In The Corps! co-operative survival game.
These reinforcements will help your fire team progress through the campaign missions, or provide options for the bug hunts. As your heroes investigate the threat on LV-426, they gain experience and hone their skills. Choose experience cards to compliment your character’s abilities, or build a well-rounded character to tackle any test. The choice is yours, if you can make it to the extraction point alive…

The skills are almost a must have. But for some extra characters and some skill cards, this is not good value, in board game terms. If you’re playing 40k, then it’s a wholly different animal. Then this is peanuts for a handful of models and you buy it without doubting a second.

Pretty much essential to improve the base game; negates campaign character losses by providing replacement marines between missions (some better than others), and the XP cards add bonus powers that help balance the difficulty. Still have to glue/paint minis.

This small add on brings additional characters to include in the game. The rest of the squad is a nice addition but hardly necessary. The one addition this does provide is a brand new set of experience cards that add nifty bonuses to heroes and can be upgraded or combined with other different categories both in campaigns or bug hunts. With experience cards, your hero will choose to upgrade an skill tree they have selected by one level or choose a brand new skill tree at level one. In campaigns your hero levels up between missions while in bug hunts leveling up happens every new game turn. Not a necessary but overall nifty addition to make a solid game better.
