feels less vital than Lords of Middle-earth but potentially still really good. i need more plays with its inclusion before i can make up my mind but that's my initial take. i'm a little underwhelmed i think by the addition of quite a bit more artifice for what seems like very little return. some of the cards are great -- see also: "The Western Way" what if the Elves let us use their boats instead of being isolationist turds? -- but i think i am starting to dislike how this expansion shifts the game away from its core identity.

Warriors of Middle-Earth is a good expansion and I do enjoy playing with it a lot. But sometimes I end up yoinking the expansion and just playing with the Lords expansion. It feels like it bogs down the game sometimes (not all the time) and it seems a bit unbalanced but it could just be me and my buddy misinterpreted the rules wrong... Don't get me wrong, if you really enjoy the game and want to add the really cool side characters/creatures to the game definitely pick it up!

I like this. So far I have not been disappointed with the expansions to WotR. I think this expansion definitely allows for more complex military strategy for the FP which is what I think I dislike when I play FP. Also, Corsairs are epic and Ents, man! ENTS!
