Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

I really feel like Robin Hood's Merry Men can be really powerful with their attack card. Bigfoot's sidekick Jackalope can be very powerful if it can run through opponents.

This is an economical set that serves as a very solid introduction to the game. Both characters feature stark contrasting abilities and you get a taste of the asymmetry possible. However, I think these characters are probably two of the most uninteresting in the entirety of Unmatched. I mean this from a thematic perspective. Robin Hood is iconic, sure, but not so much as a warrior. And Big Foot is just kind of a cultural peculiarity.

SO FUN! I'm apparently terrible at this game, since my wife and I have played 6 times and I've lost every game, no matter which character I am. But I still love it. Looking forward to getting more characters.
