Unmatched: Battle of Legends, Volume One
20m - 40m
2 - 4 Players
Ages 9+
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Purchased this during a BAM moving sale. I think the system works well. Remains family friendly enough for a quick teach. The components are very nice. insert is functional too, Well thought out presentation. I can see how some really embrace this and buy all of the various characters. Not sure if I'd ever do that but wouldn't mind a few more. I enjoy how each character has its own deck. I could see the tactics becoming stale if you played it a lot as the deck has a lot of duplicate cards. Normally, I don't go for 1 vs 1 direct conflict.

Unmatched has proven to be a hit at my table. I’ve not had large amounts of play time yet, so some characters feel a bit unbalanced but I imagine that will smooth over as my group’s play time increases.

Totally ok fits in my oppinion best to the Unmatched series. I get what people like about them but Unmatched for me often times kacks clearness and denseness. Some times we sat there at the end and questioned why somone even won.
