Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

I love, love, love Twilight Imperium, although I rarely get to play it. I really want this expansion eventually.

The set that got me into the system, and still two of my favorite characters to play as in Unmatched.
ChrB
See my comment for Unmatched for my thoughts on the game itself (spoiler: I like it quite a bit). This expansion is ok, and I can see that you will be rewarded for repeated plays with the raptors, as they need to be played in a certain way to be more deadly. InGen is probably the better character, but also a bit less exciting to play, and you always feel it's a greater challenge to win with the raptors than him. Of course, you can mix and match, but this set more than others feel like the two factions are made for each other.
