Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

The characters may not be as dynamically differentiated as those in Cobble & Fog. However, the Mondo art just pops off of the cards. It’s dripping with 90’s neon pastels, and thematically tied into the very best Buffyverse references. My favorite is the tragic “Love & Loss” which is both uncomfortably violent yet artistically beautiful.

In tier lists, there is a Buffy tier for a reason. These characters are so much weaker than the rest of the cast. Probably best to play against other characters from this box only. Buffy herself is not that trash.

First time playing an unmatched game and it was pretty entertaining. The hand management between the two characters was a nice balancing act and the whole system allowing characters from different games to play against each other sounds awesome. Unfortunately, it's just not really my type of game so I can't imagine myself returning to these very often.
