Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

This head to head game is a fun game that has each team play a little differently based on their decks. Rules are simple although they could be a little more detailed with the rules as we were left with questions that weren’t answered, so we had to make a bit of a guess. Unmatched is getting allot of hype, but I didn’t have an amazing experience. In my mind, it’s a good game, but not a great game.

got it on sale at barnes and noble otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought it. It is entertaining and the maps are solid. It is thematically good and fans of the game will definitely enjoy playing with these fighters.

Unmatched brings unique and different characters together for head-to-head battle with some great, thematic, asymmetric options. I've seen some of this show, but not much. The characters are interesting though and it's fun to have more to use in the game. I look forward to getting a better understanding to how the characters were in the show to understand better why their mechanics work like they do. That's one big appeal of this game for me. * I record plays of this game under the original Unmatched game: Battle of Legends, Volume 1.
