Unlock! is a cooperative card game inspired by escape rooms that uses a simple system which allows you to search scenes, combine objects, and solve riddles. Play Unlock! to embark on great adventures, while seated at a table using only cards and a companion app that can provide clues, check codes, monitor time remaining, etc.
Unlock! Escape Adventures includes three separate scenarios for you to explore:
In The Formula, you enter a secret laboratory to recover a mysterious serum that has been developed by a scientist. Will you solve all the riddles and get out in less than an hour?
In Squeek & Sausage, you need to thwart the plans of the despicable Professor Noside!
In The Island of Doctor Goorse, you must visit the island of an eccentric antique collector billionaire and overcome its traps!
An included ten-card tutorial allows you to learn how to play without reading the game rules.
Use the link below in order to download the Tutorial and a demonstration scenario, both in print-and-play!

I like this more than Exit as there is a touch more immersion but it does have a vulnerability in that you can just get stuck at a point and not see the puzzle or worse see a puzzle but miss a clue or puzzle piece (often a hidden object) to enable you to solve it. All games here are well designed and whilst there were one or two puzzles that left me wondering how anyone would get them there were other puzzles I got that might have left others scratching their heads. Really looking forward to the next set.

The Formula - 6 This is the very first Unlock scenario. The theme is pretty forgettable, feels like an expanded version of the tutorial. The puzzles were pretty straightforward, but still challenging. There isn't anything to dislike about this, just not nearly as interesting or memorable compared to later Unlock scenarios. Squeak and Sausage - 7.5 Definitely the best scenario in the entire box. The story is fun, great art work on the cards. This scenario isn't particularly hard, but still has some challenging moments. Solid adventure all around. Island of Dr. Gorse - 7 This scenario requires you to split up into two separate teams right from the beginning and solve puzzles independently. Then later on you have to communicate with each other without looking at the other team's cards. This was annoying and really didn't make the game much fun, I ended up ignoring the rules and just looked at all the cards and felt doing so didn't take away from the experience. There is very little usage of the app here, which was disappointing, but some fun puzzles. Of all the 3 star level scenarios in the Unlock series, this is easily the weakest and least memorable one. I still enjoyed enough of the puzzles to have a positive experience though. Overall - 7 This is the first Unlock cases in the series. Based on these 3 scenarios, they are pretty average, but fortunately the series gets better and better with each new box set. Still worth getting even if you've played the others, just don't have high expectations.

This game made me think if I am ok. If I was playing alone, I would probably think that there is something wrong with me, but my wife had a similar feeling. There are some completely nonsensical riddles, in our opinion. Additionally, we couldn't somehow feel the flow of the game, we knew what was going on, what the riddle is and what the answer is, but we didn't know what to do with that knowledge.
