Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.

1st Impressions: Off late been playing a lot of expansions which don't add too much in rules but add more possibilities for different strategies and hence make the game a bit for forgiving. This does exactly that with the "Money". Secondly, provides new buildings that add a ton of replayability and refreshes the game if you have played it a lot. Some of the new money related buildings can be slightly more complex, but that kind of range of complexity existed in the base game buildings anyway. A sound purchase if you like the game — if you play with beginners because of the first aspect and the second if you play a lot and looking to spice things up.

A ridiculously overpriced expansion that adds some new cards and a new resource - money. That eases the game as now players can pay a coin to take a resource of their choice instead of designated resource. It's quite easy to get money in the game, as there are many ways for it. Good addition if you want to play the game with more leeway for decisions or if you just have played it very much and desperately need some variety. Maybe the most necessary for players who like to play such way that players name resources?

A worthwhile expansion that adds a nice strategic wrinkle for a tiny rules addition. I am a bit concerned that it encourages spamming cheap cottages and wells to get easy coins, which was already a bit too prevalent in the base game.
