Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board
Games where you repeat an action (or part of an action) until you decide to stop due to increased (or not) risk of losing points or your turn.

The best from the tiny epic games.I like it a lot, that it's very hard to focus on 1 thing and make very high score. Also I like a lot the variant with the dice results, that you share with all players. The game is very funny.

This is a gift idea for Daughter #2. It's her MUST have game because of the meeples. Silly daughter!

Played 3 times now at 2 players. The first play was a bit rough as it felt like we had to keep looking at the rulebook before each move, and we kept discovering certain rules that we didn't see before (keeping in mind that we watched a thorough video of the rules beforehand). The third play was the best as we were much more confident in the rules after rewatching a video to remind ourselves. There are definitely a lot of things to keep in mind of when playing this game and you will not do well if you don't focus on a strategy and pay attention to your options. One game, I swear I lost just because of one turn where I forgot that you could "Forge Ahead" and because I didn't, I failed to complete a quest before it got discarded. This game certainly holds up to the name "tiny" and "epic". It is a big punch of a game for sure, and I would not play this with casual gamers. But I can say that I am a fan of this game now that I've played a few times.
