In programming, every player must secretly choose and commit their moves for the next 'n' turns. Then each player plays their turns out according to the choices made. The key to Action / Movement Programming is that all players choose and lock in their actions, prior to anyone executing any of their actions.
Action / Movement Programming
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Games where you repeat an action (or part of an action) until you decide to stop due to increased (or not) risk of losing points or your turn.

As a two player game I think it just gives players enough options for the game to not be a 7-point-planet-grab-race anymore. Maybe because there are more planets in the deck, maybe because the other can catch-up with other mechanics probably all of them combined. Granted it made the game more fiddly and less tiny, but overall I feel it adds to the experience with the pilots being the most interesting addition. It's still not sausage-fingers friendly and prone to table bumping disasters.
BINGHILLA
A solid expansion. Introduces two new major elements to the game, which adds strategical flavor to the game. Sadly, it also affects the playing time in a major way, which takes away some of the charm from the vanilla game.

It might just be me but I thought that the additional elements bogged the game quite a bit and made this small, dice game into much more that I like this to be. Cards with oh so little print (especially for the exceptions of applicability) that you have to look from across the table did not help either.
