Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.
Take That
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Enjoyed my 1st play with this but I was playing with others that had played before. I was concentrating on my game and didn't play this to its fullest to appreciate the expansion. From what I was able to comprehend I enjoyed what it brought to the game but need more plays to fully appreciate. Plays are reordered in base game.

We don't like adding a lot to the base game because most of the expansions make this pretty decent game a little worse. But I have to say the player boards are worth the purchase.
AKBanse
Lowered rating from 7 to 6.5 after a couple more plays due top slowing down play. This expansions slows down play in two ways: 1) The Turmoil phase takes a bit to go through the different parts of it. 2) The reduction of TR during the Turmoil phase reduces capabilities of those that aren't pumping MC generation.
