Smash Up: Munchkin
30m - 45m
2 - 4 Players
Ages 12+
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.
Take That
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

Good game and easy to play once the rules are explained. Nice to try different factions together as some work really well and others not so.

Don't usually play this expansion because if not everyone does, the directions on the cards don't always work well.

Not one of the best Smash Up expansions but by no means a weak addition to my Geeky Box. As long as you actually use the bases that implement monsters the new races and classes can be entertaining. This might even be a nice gateway into the other expansions for someone who really love the "Take That" appeal of Munchkin but wants to branch out a bit.
