We have tried various ways to make this game more appealing. The best way we have found is to make your level not count towards your strength in battle. That being said, my kids love the Harry Potter theme. They've decided if you have all of the "Deathly Hallow" items, you can't be killed.

Somehow not as good as the original Munchkin. Defeating the monsters is much easier and the dice is almost never incorporated. Seems more of a cashgrab as the quality of the regular game is poor (flimsy cards etc) and it only comes with the playboard in the deluxe version... which is also much more expensive.

This is going to depend largely on what kind of art they will use on the cards. Code names Harry Potter was nixed because they were using the photo stills from the film... which I understand, but I would rather see new artwork instead.
