Smash Up: Munchkin
30m - 45m
2 - 4 Players
Ages 12+
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.
Take That

So far I've played one game with only Munchkin races. That took too long. The monsters and treasures are fun, but it just adds too much complexity for this level of strategy. I will try it with the Munchkin races mixed in with the other sets. For the record, I thought the original Munchkin game was hilarious - for 15 minutes. I will never play it again, but I might browse the cards. I have much higher expectations from Munchkin Smash Up. :-)

This set changes the base game a bit, but it is a minor change. If you like Smash Up you will like this.

Wouldn't be a bad game if you knew all the cards, there's just so many! Each turn I had to re-read every card on the table and in my hand to figure out what I was going to play next. Games seemed to drag on too long because of it.
