Adding airships is pretty cool, but doesn't change the game dramatically. As complexity for those that are looking for more complex board games, but is not 100% necessary. I still enjoy playing it though

Most intriguing are the massive (and I MEAN massive) miniatures of airships, but rules wise they seem just more crap to move around and physically dominate the game board far more than their impact on the play justifies. Most useful are the alternative end conditions, but I reckon they'd have had trouble selling these on their own so I get why they come packaged in this hugely blinged out set.

I admit that this was the reason that I purchased the game, but I never use them. I set them on the board because they look really cool, but I don't use them in the play since it is unclear to me how useful they are.
