Scythe: The Rise of Fenris
Scythe: The Rise of Fenris, the conclusion to the Scythe expansion trilogy, enables two different options for any player count. The story of Scythe continues and concludes with an 8-episode campaign. Instead of—or after—the campaign, the new modules in The Rise of Fenris can be used in various combinations to cater to player preferences. These modules are compatible with all Scythe expansions, and they include a fully cooperative module.

If you enjoy Scythe, you really need to play this expansion. That said, and without giving away any spoilers, fulfilling objectives, and even winning never felt that important. The stakes were a bit low throughout, and that was a bit dissapointing. However, my family and I had a great time. The best part is you get two new factions, and endless ways to adjust your games in the future by adding modular rules or modes of play. If you like Scythe, buy this one. It's solid.

Played the campaign with 4 players. I really enjoyed the twists on every game! But it felt a bit sometimes a it unfair at certain times (especially as the sax faction) Really looking forward to play a game with the modules we choose :)

The campaign itself is alright. The story is well-crafted and provides context to what you're trying to achieve in each scenario, but it never really draws you in. It just provides framing around the rules for a scenario which is fine. The various modules you unlock throughout the game, however, are the real draw here and most of them are fairly interesting. Once the campaign is complete, you are given rules on how to incorporate each of the modules into normal games, making each its own mini-expansion which is probably the biggest draw for this expansion.
