Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling

I like everything this expansion does except the monster. You can reveal a weakness but realize its impossible to benefit from it especially because in order to fight the monster you need to win against minions which may contradict a build for the monster in order to actually win. I only play Roll Player solo and the game states if you fail to defeat the monster you lose. In the final two rounds I managed to reveal the final two weaknesses of the monster only to realize that I didn't build the character board in a way that benefits from it. I accomplished an objective with no reward. That is terrible game design full stop. I think to personally fix this obvious design flaw I will just remove the monsters and minions and relevant market cards. Ultimately they just serve to gain XP which primarily helps to fight monsters. Its a loop that I find lowered my overall final score compared to the base game. For the additional setup, considerations, and rewards fighting minions gives you it doesn't seem worth it to even bother including them. They are consistently a distraction from the core game. Rating it a 7 for now as I enjoy everything else about this expansion. Will try out with no combat and see if that improves my experience. ------------ Sold, reduced to a 2. Very repetitive and every game is the same puzzle.

interesting but in my opinion not as essential the Monsters & Minions. brings some more possibilities if you play often.
