Certainly there are great ideas here - the way actions are selected and shared is neat, the combat system feels good (a bit of Shogun/Samurai from the old MB days in some ways) and the flow is good. But it also has critical (essential) alliances and 'anything you want deals, but are not binding' which works for groups that love that, but if you don't, this game feels flat and a pale reflection of its elder brother, Blood Rage. So not great for me and my gaming group.

I absolutely LOVE the bluffing and bidding mechanisms in the battle phase of this game. One of my most favorite game mechanisms, and has led me to pursue other similar games like Blood Rage and Kemet. That said, the alliance system makes this game extremely frustrating (borderline unfair) with an odd number. Whoever is left out of the alliances is severely disadvantaged early on. Still a wonderful theme and fun game to play, although I'd pick Kemet over this every time.

Beautiful to see, but in my opinion unbalanced and very long. A season from the end (7 rounds) there was no possibility of returning to the game, so it was a pain to get to the end.
