Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.
Pattern Building
The simultaneous action selection mechanic lets players secretly choose their actions. After they are revealed, the actions resolve following the rule-set of the game.
Simultaneous Action Selection
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.
Tile Placement
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

Played a friend's copy a few times and it is a good, light-weight polynomial game, but not one that I really want in my collection anymore. KS base game and Supermoon expansion preorder cancelled.

Really unique polyomino game. I wish the box it came in was just a TAD bigger, and the lazy Susan feels toy-ish even though I really like the gameplay it creates. Overall just docking points for kind of mediocre 7.8components.
andrewwsharp
loved the assymetry and how the tiles push you up your tracks, but felt too constrained by the whim of the depot
