Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Games with partnerships offer players a set of rules for alliances and teams. Partners are often able to win as a team, or penalties are enforced for not respecting alliances

Social deduction games—yes, there are many that try, but few succeed. This game has a good amount going for it at 8-players. It is hard to win as the good team, but if it wasn't hard, then it wouldn't be relatable or true to any power struggle. Evil is…well, evil. I dislike the artwork (screen captures from GoT). I think that a fully-illustrated version would have been much better. Perhaps I'll re-theme.

Some weird hybrid of the canonical social deduction game a la Secret Hitler or Avalon: The Resistant and Dead of Winter. There are teams (conspirators and loyalists), secret objectives, and a king (and/or queen). For $35, its probably worth a shot given the theme, and the production value seems reasonable overall.

After a few initial plays, I would say this is a very good add to a social deduction collection, by being somewhat distinct to many games out there. Try it out.
