So far we've only played it once and I think I fudged a rule about quest tokens and where they can be placed. I thought it was fun but the kids didn't seem interested. I'll keep trying.

What a great game for my 6 year old son. It is like a sandbox game, very non-linear, but you have to stay focused to get your trophies. We don't mind that a lot of games end in ties or are decided with tie breakers. It's just a neat game with just enough complexity to make you feel like you are doing something.

Scythe FOR KIDS. The rating is for what this game is intending to be: a game that can be played by children. At that, it fully succeeds. Would I ever want to play it with a group of adults? No. The design goal was not for an adult audience. As a point of comparison, this is lighter than Broom Service and can be played by most 6 year olds.
