Really cool mage. Could possibly be my favorite for Academy so far. I like that all of her creatures degenerate over time, but they're all quite powerful.

2023-01-26 Initial Rating: 7.0 (January 2023) Even though my desire to play Mage Wars: Arena has decreased over time, I still think it is a tremendous game. I also like its faster brother Mage Wars: Academy and I LOVE that the cards can be used in both games. Due to this, my desire to play its expansions remains high and I had a blast playing this one. Mage Wars: Academy – Forcemaster Expansion adds a new mage to the mix, and it is a Forcemaster which can be my favorite kind of game these days, I need to ponder this further. If players are familiar with the base game rules, the new concepts can be explained under 1 minute. The new cards are fun to tinker with and to play. Several of the creatures are a quick spell which is a rarity, and this makes them very powerful. The Forcemaster continues to pack a punch in this iteration, and it can do a lot of damage by herself but here she does need support from her creatures to unleash her more poweful attacks while in the previous game she could do more by herself . The most powerful enchantment, and the Forcemaster ability requires and additional payment of dissipate token form creatures, but it adds 2 extra melee dice which is very powerful. All things considered, the Forcemaster is very powerful (just like it was in Mage Wars: Arena), and I like her a lot. The art continues to be topnotch. Bottom line, I really liked Mage Wars: Academy – Forcemaster Expansion and I´m very happy to have new cards to try in both games, this one and Mage Wars: Arena. Even though this game (or its big brother) doesn’t come to the table often, I always enjoy it and I won´t ever get rid of it. Current Rating: 7.0
