Co-operative play encourages or requires players to work together to beat the game.
Cooperative Play
Deck building/Pool building refers to a collection of related mechanisms. Players have a personal pool, or collection, of cards or tokens, that provide different actions and/or resources. A subset of those cards/tokens are randomly drawn each turn.
Deck / Pool Building
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

- Extra content for the base game should be in the base game, not here. I would have preferred the base game and expansion in one box. + I like the artwork and the mechanism of the cards with a bottom and top ability. I think they successfully transformed Chronicles of Frost into a coop game. The first campaign is a good intro, the second ons is a lot harder already, but I like that. - After the campaign you just read some text based on how successful you were, but there are no advantages to gain, this is a negative point for me. There is no motivation to do better, since whatever the outcome, you can buy upgrades with the points you collected. So you can almost just focus on collecting a lot of points to buy upgrades and neglect the main goal of the campaign since there are no 'punishments' if you do badly. I hope this will be revised and each outcome has a fitting reward

A very well balanced resource management puzzle. Not very strong in theme, not very interesting as a deckbuilder. Would rather play Aeon's End, Shadowrift or Battle for Greyport.
