Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

This and The Void expansion were all amalgamated with the War Eternal before playing my first game of War Eternal. So, I can't really say if this is better than The Void or not. I would just get this for the added variety.

Thrice Dead Prophet - one of my favourite bosses, but needs a hell of a punch to beat especially on the hard variant. Wraithmonger - too punishing to be fun to play, even worse than Hollow Crone. The most hated nemesis of all across all the AE games I've played. Remnant & Indira - great characters. Indira has the most unique playstyle of any mage. New cards - great stuff. Astral cube is OP but it is one of our favourites.

I really like Thrice Dead Profit as a boss as he changes the game up, and I enjoy both the breach mages in this expansion. I'm not a big fan of Wraithmonger as a nemesis, but maybe that's because we're not very good haha. He seems to defeat us much faster than we are capable of reacting to. (faster than usual anyways).
