Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management

I like how the players must pick a strategy to specifically defeat the boss in front of them, and that your first attempt will pretty much fail and then you get to discuss what you could do differently, what worked or didn't, etc. This is a really difficult game where you aren't supposed to win every game, and I like that. I could see it not being as popular in a playgroup that doesn't replay games often. Traded it on, as the people willing to play this also own it, and not a lot of people want to invest multiple plays in a difficult deckbuilder.

Best cooperative deck builder. Excellent experience and replayability. With 80+ games behind, still finding it exciting and fresh combining new mages with new supply combinations and a certain nemesis (all of them different from each other, creating a different feel of play). Game gets better the more content you have! Especially suggest expedition mode from New age and Outcast, as well as the legacy campaigns, Legacy, and Legacy of Gravehold.

I LOVE THIS GAME! Definitely one of the best coops I've played! I like how the boss' actions usually involve collective discussions about how to handle and manage them. It's hard to alpha-gamer this one because each player gets to play their hand and every character is different. There's TONS of replay value, especially when you mix in one or more of the expansions. Really just an absolute gem! Strongly recommended!
