Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.
Pattern Building
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Fun little card superimposition puzzle. Takes up relatively little space, allowing it to be played pretty much anywhere!

The terrific sequel to Orchard. More options and risk added because you now have to manage empty spaces. Lesser room for mismatch colors (1 squirrel in grove versus 2 rotten fruits in orchard). The variable scoring base on extra recipes also liven things up. I use to play orchard in the park when I got tired of reading and now grove will be added to the rotation too. Wonderful solo game.

Very well balanced game with the recipes. You can't make a mistake or you will lose by a couple of points. Winning will only be by a couple of points usually as well. Fantastic game.
