Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.

The Disney villain theme is really fun; I love the concept. The artwork for this game is gorgeous. The dark hues and subdued tones fit the villainous theme perfect. However, the game quality is lacking. The plastic pieces are poorly made; the layers of plastic from the mold are clearly visible. I played once and some card edges already seemed to be wearing. All this in addition to the fact that the game is not plastic wrapped when bought new, it is taped, which ruins the box. Play wise, the game was OK. We played with 2 players, so I would like to try it with more to see how that goes. The mechanics are ok; they seem a bit wonky and some abilities are overpowered for certain characters. Luck also plays a huge factor. If you draw the cards needed to win at the beginning of the game, you could be in a position to win almost instantly. Not impressed overall, but willing to give it another try.

A very nifty game that suffers a lot with two players, becoming a take-that back-and-forth, especially when playing a new character you are unaccustomed to. Still definitely fun, but can be frustrating and go on too long sometimes.

A very solid game system that gels surprisingly well with the wonderful world of Disney. Each player chooses to be one of Disney's classic villains and attempts to complete their dastardly quest before the hero of the story can stop them. You'll move your villain around the various settings of their story, and performing the actions offered at these locations - drawing or playing cards, vanquishing heroes or perhaps something more unique to the villain at hand. Be warned, this game is aimed at an older/more experienced audience than the Disney branding might suggest. Being quite language dependent and requiring more complex planning than some games, younger players may find it hard to follow, and as everyone plays independently of one another it is hard to offer support. That being said, all characters have plenty to sink your teeth into, and the variety of villains to choose from make this game very appealing to veteran boardgamers looking for a light theme on a mid- to light-weight game.
