Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.

First expansion to Disney's Villainous which adds three new characters: Hades, Dr. Facilier, and Evil Queen. The characters all seem like they fit well and we tried mixing them in with characters from the original game. None of them add anything drastically different but they all have their unique little nuances just like the base game. You can use this as an expansion or technically play it as a stand-alone 3 player game although I find it's more fun with 4 or more players than with 3. The game can drag a bit long with 6+ players though. Overall, if you have the base game and want more variety, this expansion is a nice addition of more playable characters. Plays logged under base game.

Played in combination with Evil Comes Prepared. I love the ambience, the cards are fun, and it’s easy to connect memories with the movies. However, it feels too slow for it’s complexity, it’s difficult to keep track of what everyone does, and some characters seem much stronger. Overall, a fun game which I wouldn’t buy.

The expansion added two villains with unique mechanics that make them a bit more of a challenge. It's great to see that each new villain has a mechanic that is very in character.
