An expansion that completely changes the way Carcassonne plays. Players are forced into scoring quick and small features in the fear of losing a follower to the tower. This works best as a two player game only. 8/10 for two players 6/10 for three plus players :star::star::star::star::nostar::nostar::nostar::nostar::nostar::nostar:

Once again, another good expansion to Carc. It puts some real interaction in the game - and my family likes that aspect. It also adds a nice new level of strategy - and I like that aspect. So it's a winner all around, but certainly does something different to the base game - almost radically so. As a result, I wouldn't say it's a "must have" expansion.

The only good thing about this expansion is the tower to place the tiles. Played once and I did not feel it was a Carcassone game. There is a good reason why this expansion was not included in the new Big Box.
