Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Deck building/Pool building refers to a collection of related mechanisms. Players have a personal pool, or collection, of cards or tokens, that provide different actions and/or resources. A subset of those cards/tokens are randomly drawn each turn.
Deck / Pool Building
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Excellent for the additional cards. I am less interested in the expansion scenarios (Labyrinth and Titans) than the new card options for the standard rules game, but they are still good.

Incredible expansion that adds the variety the base game needs. Incredible production value and the flawless blend of the expansion box into setup elevates Dice Forge to a 9 for me. Will be bringing this game to the table often.

Adding more card variety to Dice Forge is great, so even if that's all the expansion came with I'd be happy. The other stuff is a tale of 2 sides. On the one side you have the Labyrinth, and I found that quite enjoyable. While both sides of the board can slow the game down slightly, this one made it feel more worthwhile as you keep getting little prizes for moving through the maze. On the flip side (literally) the Titans was just bland and uninteresting. It was tough to even remember to make the moves on that track and they didn't offer enough bonuses or penalties to make it fun. We'll play the Labyrinth again, for sure, but I'm not sure the board will ever flip to the Titan side again.
