Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Deck building/Pool building refers to a collection of related mechanisms. Players have a personal pool, or collection, of cards or tokens, that provide different actions and/or resources. A subset of those cards/tokens are randomly drawn each turn.
Deck / Pool Building
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Concordia is the ford taurus of euros in my book; it's reliable, it works extremely well, and it's also the dadmobile of games. Nothing really stands out to me, and I just don't get excited to play. While playing it I just sort of lazily expand across the map and buy cards. It's rock solid, and solidly meh. If someone wanted to play, I'd sit down, but I wouldn't ever ask for it.

One of my favorite games right now, and it's a game I don't even own. Most of my plays have been online, but always wanting to have a chance to play in person. The mechanics of this game is great and love the game play.

Good: The experience of playing is wonderful. Bad: Because everyone has to buy cards to get VP multipliers, and because the strategies that work for different VP categories tend to overlap a fair amount, a lot of differentiation between strategies is just a question of tactics, whereas I'd prefer a more open strategic landscape.
