Concordia: Gallia / Corsica
Expansion of:
Concordia
2 - 5 Players
Ages 12+
Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Deck building/Pool building refers to a collection of related mechanisms. Players have a personal pool, or collection, of cards or tokens, that provide different actions and/or resources. A subset of those cards/tokens are randomly drawn each turn.
Deck / Pool Building
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Two more very nice maps for Concordia, Gallia (with South Britannia) is a pleasure to play, Corsica very tough for 2 players.
Darador
This is the only of the Concordia expansions that I find a little disappointingly bland because it doesn't add any particularly interesting new mechanisms on any of its two new maps. It still contains two welcome-to-have additional maps, of course. At the time of publication, Corsica was the smallest map by as many as three cities, so that was at least some novelty of the expansion. Not only the low number of only 20 cities, but also its cash bonus of +2 sestertii for a Prefect made and makes it particularly well suited for 2 player games. But by now, there are other (and I think slightly better) maps with a low number of cities for low player counts. I particularly like Creta and Aegyptus. For every Concordia completionist, this map pack is still a must-have, but for everyone else, I would recommend to get every other Concordia expansion before this one. Maybe with the exception of people from France who would like to play on their home turf.

The Corsica map takes Concordia from a game I really want to skip at 2 players to a game I really want to play at 2 players. It also plays fantastically at 3. The Gallia map is a nice added bonus, but you should be coming here for Corsica.
