Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
In storytelling games, players are provided with conceptual, written, or pictorial stimuli which must be incorporated into a story of the players' creation.

A time track mechanism is a variable player-turn order mechanism by which the player who is last on the time track goes next. The function of this mechanism can allow a player to have multiple sequential turns due to being last after each one.
Time Track
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.
Variable Player Powers
Voting allows players to influence the outcome of certain events within the game. The vote may be all or nothing, choosing a target for an effect, or to determine the results of certain situations. Players’ votes may not have equal weight, and blocking a player from voting can be a valid tactic.

Utterly shameful exploit of the consumer. This "game" is not resolvable without have ALL the other sets in the white cycle. If you do not have these (or given them away), you will have to (re-)acquire them (or look up the solution on line). How this concept ever got past QC is beyond me. I hope Space Cowboys are going to have a hard look at how they are treating their customers. Light spoilers follow. If you can finish this "game", the only resolution you get is an advert for the blue cycle. There is no resolution for any of the narrative up until this point.

A scenario with one or two interesting ideas that became increasingly annoying as it required repeated runs with different characters and at some point became aimless until we stumbled on the ‘finale’ which was was a total letdown. There was no resolution of the overarching story; I don’t know if Space Cowboys are using that as a hook into the next series but I wouldn’t spend my money on it.
