Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
In storytelling games, players are provided with conceptual, written, or pictorial stimuli which must be incorporated into a story of the players' creation.

I love this game. The art work and style is stunning with wonderful adventures and quests. It was hard to understand at first, but I got there.

I think Sleeping Gods is less of a game and more of an activity. In the end it is a complex adventure book. The game also feels like a solo experience. I only played it solo and the campaign took forever. I don't want to imagine what it's like with three or four players. The administration with markers and cards is extremely high. For me it was more work than play and fun. I have to admit that I prefer to play role-playing/adventure games on the PC. In my opinion, a board game simply cannot transport this so well. Otherwise the game has a wonderful artwork and the few mechanisms that are included all work.
