Co-operative play encourages or requires players to work together to beat the game.
Cooperative Play
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling

sumo
Really impressed with this Scots designed dungeon crawler. It plays quickly, is scaled and balanced, and I would say near perfect for solo play. A typical quest will see some combat, but this is pleasingly low key, and other skill or luck based tests hold sway. Play is quite tense and even exciting at times. Gorgeous artwork. Easily understood systems. Original monsters and loot, and even environmental effects. Because it relies on 3d6 rolls there is a hint of old school D&D flavour and fun. Frankly, we have not laughed as much in a while. Tonight, while my camp troubadour partner rolled 6 x 6s and took out enemies with his axe, my hopeless urchin kept rolling so badly that his javelins were causing blue on blue hits. I think there are a couple of mechanisms (alert/surprise) too many, but this will not worry most people. The big plus is that it is less than £20 for the starter kits which, these days, almost seems like a label gun error. I can offer no higher praise than saying this is pretty close to how I would do it myself.

Highly recommended as a portable dungeon crawler. Would highlight very flexible character development and interesting and common sense combat system. Also, excellently presented throughout.

Keep going back and forth on whether I like the system. Now have all the novice content. Caves definitely easier than sewers which is a bit odd.
