Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Whilst some of the rules are not clearly laid out, with a little persistence this becomes an intuitive, grassroots dungeon crawl with heaps of theme. Love playing it!

Still an odd one out. It just feels like all the (important) decision are made during character creation ad during the game you just chuck dice with insufficient mitigation. Even when speccing your talents to do just so. That being said, all plays were solo simulating 2p. Perhaps it would be better at 4p and the easier difficulty where you get an extra talent? But then you get more monsters and more party tests so more chucking again... Dunno. Also, the rulebook for Sewers recommends "just get playing straight away" with the character classes from the Caves set. Major oversight. Is a super unnecessary hurdle for learning the game.

Highly recommended as a portable dungeon crawler. Would highlight very flexible character development and interesting and common sense combat system. Also, excellently presented throughout.
