Betrayal Legacy
Betrayal Legacy marries the concept of Betrayal at House on the Hill with the permanency and multi-game storytelling. Betrayal Legacy consists of a prologue and a thirteen-chapter story that takes place over decades. Players represent families, with specific members of a family participating in one story, then perhaps an older version of those characters or their descendants showing up in later stories.

Played this multiple times before the Pandemic made us stop the campaign. Really unfun and we never really unlocked anything that blew us away. As a big fan of Betrayal, this was a letdown.

One of our most divisive games (8 vs 5 star rating). Super thematic but due to the legacy elements and heavy dice rolls can be super swingy. Tends to favor the traitor and people can quickly be knocked out long before the game is set to end. Great legacy elements though! Lots of intrigue.

Betrayal games hold a special place for me. They're very much a casual beer and snacks kind of deal, which gives room for lots of funny table talk. Legacy tightens up the rules and adds to the overall experience. The only oddity to me so far are the (*Small spoiler alert*) "calling" cards relative to the miniatures. Why the heck would you have scholars and medical professionals when two of the minis are children?? I feel they should have been more general. Breaks immersion.
