Betrayal Legacy
Betrayal Legacy marries the concept of Betrayal at House on the Hill with the permanency and multi-game storytelling. Betrayal Legacy consists of a prologue and a thirteen-chapter story that takes place over decades. Players represent families, with specific members of a family participating in one story, then perhaps an older version of those characters or their descendants showing up in later stories.

If the base game of Betrayal were as good as base Pandemic, this would be a superior Legacy game over P:L.

My original rating was 8, then it dropped to 6 when these problems became too frequent. And now it's now 4 stars. Also, I was very disappointed to see the quality of the character figures had dropped significantly. This was the very first Legacy game my friends and family have played, and it was irritating that the game left us fumbling in the dark quite frequently. I understand the concept of mystery, and to not mess with things when the game doesn't mention it. But it'd been more appropriate for the designers to explain things more thoroughly, both, in the rule-book, and when it does tell you to handle something new. The first rule of creating anything you plan to market is to assume your audience knows absolutely nothing about your product, and explain it so that they know how to utilize it properly. The designers failed in this aspect, and I cannot recommend the Legacy version of Betrayal to anyone. If you want a good Betrayal game, I would highly recommend either the 2nd edition and the Widow's Walk expansion, or Betrayal at Baldur's Gate, or 3rd edition instead. When we finished the campaign of my copy of this game, I traded it to my friend for his copy of Betrayal at Baldur's Gate, because at least he liked the Legacy version of the game.

Horrible game experience. we haven’t finished the campaign and I’ve been first to die in post haunt play 5 different instances. With 2 gameplays, being dead before or by my first turn. Another player has barely stubbed his toe. The gameplay is unbalanced and I wouldn’t be surprised if certain starter boards won/better results than others based upon what damage is done by events or omens or tiles. Couldn’t pay me to play this game again. Most players out of our campaign also don’t wish to play again.
