While on one hand it gives a lot of new endings for seasoned players, sometimes it feels as though it makes the game and the house too easy to navigate.

Bought it on a whim and sold it shortly after to clear up my collection. Never tried playing with this cause I have yet to play the base game enough to exhaust the already huge amount of replayablity it comes with (50 unique scenarios). Glad that I sold it cause most reviews I've read claimed that it makes the game way more unbalanced that it already is.

This expansion adds more variety that the base game definitely appreciates, but it also comes at the cost of adding several pieces of baggage that are hit or miss. The "roof" tiles are pretty underwhelming overall, especially since the added dumbwaiters make traversal much easier. The new Haunts are also very inconsistent, with some being memorable and unique and others being extremely uninspired or almost unplayable. I don't think that this one adds enough to the base experience to be worth buying unless you're already a big Betrayal fan, unfortunately. Would have highly benefitted from more consistent Haunt design and polishing those up. The roof's underwhelming state and tacked-on nature would be more forgivable in that case.
