This expansion adds more variety that the base game definitely appreciates, but it also comes at the cost of adding several pieces of baggage that are hit or miss. The "roof" tiles are pretty underwhelming overall, especially since the added dumbwaiters make traversal much easier. The new Haunts are also very inconsistent, with some being memorable and unique and others being extremely uninspired or almost unplayable. I don't think that this one adds enough to the base experience to be worth buying unless you're already a big Betrayal fan, unfortunately. Would have highly benefitted from more consistent Haunt design and polishing those up. The roof's underwhelming state and tacked-on nature would be more forgivable in that case.

It's very well integrated into the original game. Once or twice though we ran into a situation where the new roof level threw off haunts from the original game.

Adding on to the games already immense replay ability this expansion is well worth the cost. Be warned though the new scenarios do add a bit more darkness to an otherwise lighthearted survival/horror setting.
