Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

I guess I'm just not in the target group - a dice optimizing game with individual card skills. Strangely, I didn't find it terrible, but was quite involved in my one play. But it isn't something I have to play again, leave alone own.

The first thing that comes up to me while playing the game is 2-player Machi Koro. However unlike Machi Koro this game is actually pretty fun. From the first play it looks like there might be a runaway leader problem.

I enjoy this game and can see it being quite enjoyable even after many games when both players know exactly what the cards hold in store. I think it will be a tough balance between speeding up the game towards its end at a point of advantage knowing that they will be exposed to key cards that players will both hold on to but then it'll come down to the roll of the dice. I like that added uncertainty to the game. Great little game, really excited to playing this more now.
