The Campaign/Battle Card Driven mechanic is a relatively recent development in war games that focuses the players' actions on cards they have in their hand. The very basic idea is that performing a single action uses a single card. Games where cards are used to determine the outcome of battles do not use this mechanic.
Campaign / Battle Card Driven
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

For an inexpensive expansion, it feels weird to say that this game is overpriced. The publishers couldve just posted the whole thing on a file. The cards are just player aid references based on the actions the AI needs to take. If it werent for that issue, I wouldve given it a higher rating. Besides that, its a very solid solo set but its also drastically less dynamic because it has a very predictable action decision tree. Should I have expected that? I should have but it doesnt hurt to have good expectations.

Just a flow chart (that needs an errata) primary based on your unit location. Should have been free, or a card-based bot. The cards included are just for reference. Overall, it's a poorly designed bot.
Selcier
Positives: -small deck of cards + flow chart (simple materials) -easy to use once you get the flow Negatives: -flow chart isn't the most fun way of playing a bot, but it was fine -not sure about balance as I always win
