Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

The Carcosa campaign was very immersive. We mostly played correctly this time. But the overall game gets too expensive. Once we finished the campaign, we didn't plan on repeating with the Renouveau box. The whole game is sold. We had fun, and also a lot of frustration from the chaos bag or drawn encounters. We cheated when stuck to avoid restarting the scenario.

Not quite as good as the Dunwich Legacy expansion but it's still Arkham Horror LCG and it's still awesome. Some cool persistent effect stuff in this one that can affect the end of the cycle.

Two solid scenarios to start off the Path to Carcosa campaign. The story pulls you in and both scenarios, Curtain Call and The Last King, are on point with the theme and gameplay. The Last King is an improvement of an already good scenario (The Midnight Masks).
