Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Mechanically, this isn't quite the version of Wolverine I expected (spending health to cause damage) though thematically I can get there - and it's a space that Champions hasn't explored much before (Dabbling in it a bit with Venom and arguably Spider-Ham). The aggression cards actually synergy decently with the rest of the deck (Above par for a pre-built at least) and the whole thing comes together reasonably well. Bonus points for having a team-up card that actually doesn't have either hero as a signature ally (And is actually the second for Colossus). Wolverine also includes an encounter set, though I haven't tried it yet.

(Solo) Not really sure how to rate these player packs, but Wolverine is one of the must-have cadre for me. His healing and attack abilities are fun, and I look forward to exploring scenarios with him and varying his role within the team.

Hero card pack -each deck has a very different flavour. with more card pool decks are better, more customisable and really good fun. Recovering for 6 is immense, and I like that wolverine uses his health as another resource.
