Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

(Score as compared to other hero packs only) War Machine's hero cards may not be crazy innovative - you're switching to alter ego not only to heal but to reload the ammo tokens that power his stronger cards - but as a whole this pack sets the bar. Normally you crack open a hero pack and find at least a couple useless cards, or ones made obsolete by a little deckbuilding, but the leadership cards here interact with each other to such an extent you'll be hard pressed to find any changes at all. Cards like Sneak Attack and Go Down Swinging turn leadership on its head and make you reanalyze cards/strategies. Only real knock against the pack is that some of these cards are reskins of cards from the LOTR LCG.
