On the blood-stained battle elds of Rokugan, one clan stands head and shoulders above the rest. From the Matsu warriors, to the Akodo tacticians, to the Kitsu who harness the past itself, to face the Lion Clan in combat is an unenviable task for any clan.
The Emperor’s Legion, a clan pack for Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game, spotlights the Lion Clan with 78 new cards (three copies of twenty-five different cards and one copy each of three different cards). Here, look for an emphasis on powerful recursion effects, unparalled Bushi, and cards that exact vengeance on your opponent for daring to challenge the might of the Lion.

The new incarnation of Legend of the Five Rings as an LCG is an awesome reimplementation of a great card game. It has cleaner rules, enhanced gameplay and the core set itself is probably the best in the LCG world. What is missing is just... more cards. So... expansions galore! The fifth clan pack is dedicated to the Lion clan, therefore it adds a bunch of new yellow cards, but also a new card for each of the other factions, as well as some neutral cards. The new stronghold promises a lot of interesting new builds, based upon... losing conflicts?!?

Since BGG makes it difficult to differentiate between games owned and expansions owned, I mark them owned here instead of marking them owned in the status tracker. Owned

Please see my rating for Fantasy Flight's L5R LCG. I don't rate the individual expansions or track plays for each one since my collection is all mixed together.
